Just adding my name in here. My name was in the other NC post, but I never posted in this one.

I am on the West end of Burke County, 0.5 miles from I-40 exit 94.

I raise Standard and Bantam Cochins in blue phase colors. Working on Show stock.

Standard Buff Cochins that are here just for fun. They are nice quality, but not what I would call Show.

Standard Black Australorps are my best layers and the Cockerels are great for meat. I have been working on them for a few years and have the body size, quick maturing, and laying capability(size and numbers) that I want. I will be selling hatching eggs when they start going good and 1-4 week old chicks starting in March.

I also have a laying flock of different breeds that I sell eating eggs from.

Then there is my flock of bantam Mutts that are nothing but pets. Dot is the boss of that flock and the entire fenced yard.
<----- that is Snickers over by my name. She is a professional shoulder walker.

I'm here in Creedmoor. So there are a bunch of us round here.

I need to get on Matt's list for some Australorp eggs.

Oh, and if you aren't already check out the NCPoultry yahoo group. It rocks. :)

Hi Bantychickenmom...
I don't have any "fancies"..just OEGBs, Buff Orps, Cochins, BRs, RIRs, Black Austros..
I just love OEGB's..
wouldn't mind getting some Japanese and silkies at some point..

I didn't know so many people in Henderson had chickens..and posted on forums.

Creedmore and Youngsville aren't too far from me.

sammi,

I've got some brown red oegb and a few extra black tail white japanese roosters,
if you're interested.

I've got a pair of 3 month old white silkies and 3 month old
buff silkies, not for sale though, but if you're interested in some whites in the spring, I'll let you know when they start laying.
