It's in the middle, hopefully not too long a drive for most.

How is Henderson, anyway? I've been to Jacksonville, Leland, Wilmington, Morehead City, Apex, Raleigh, Durham (didn't care for Durham too much), and Fayette-Nam- I mean Fayetteville. I plan on visiting again in the next year or two.

I'm about 40 miles N of Raleigh.

Decent size town, you know, not the big city but not the little everybody knows everybody town either.

Not too much crime, strangers are friendly, but we do have some wackos just like every place else.

It's pretty nice, at least I'm happy here.




I was born in Wilmington and we lived in Jacksonville between 91 and 94.
DH was in the marine corps and our oldest was born there at the Naval Hospital.

I think my fam and I will make a road trip next winter. I should be going back to work in March and there will be no time off until then. Can't go this winter because we just bought a house. There are many places we'd like to see across the country and I have a sister in Cleveland I'd like to see. Then I want to show my fam the beautiful state of NC. I'll let you know when we finalize. Maybe my kids could see your chickens- if you want.

It'll be fun to wander across this great country with my family.

I'm in Henderson, N of Raleigh,
Take Capital Blvd /US 1 N out of Raleigh, back thru Wake Forest, Youngsville, Franklinton, Kittrell, then Henderson.
Actually, Kittrell is only a crossroads with a convenient store and a post office, about 10 from my house.

I am a little way south west of you in Durham. Have you joined NCpoultry yet? I think I remeber you mentioning you are interested in showing are you going to the one in Morganton this weekend?

I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm about 30 miles NW of Charlotte, in a semi-rural area. Hopefully there won't be any livestock banning here!
