I second that! The only downside to the whole Day Light Savings Time ending...or beginning....whatever it's doing. My DD already gets up at 5:30, I really don't want her waking up ANY earlier; however, I will suffer the early mornings IF (a big IF) that means my girls will FINALLY start laying for me.Yes it was crazy windy at my house also, I did get in the dirt a bit on Tues morning before the rain started, got 2 more rosebushes in the ground and a new bed dug up completely. I bought veggie and herb seeds to start at the grocery store today, cant wait to have my garden back. NEED SPRING! like now, so tired of cold and wet weather.
I have my seeds purchased (ordered through Baker Creek) and I am just itching to put them in the ground. I didn't order much as we're going to start out "small" this year to see how they do with the new soil. Our plans: Peas, Beans, Corn, Peppers (hot, HOT and sweet), Tomatoes (for salsa & BLT...mmmmm - or in my case a mozzerella & tomato & basil...mmm) and a few melons/squash. I have more that I would like to plant, but since I am also pregnant and due this summer, there's only SO much I will be able to reasonably accomplish and DH is far too busy to tend to everything plus. IF it works out this year, we'll be adding on next year - our goal is to have a spot (already picked out) where we grow our own oats and wheat!! Good luck with your garden!!
We managed to survive (barely) through the wind with very little damage. Our OLD coop hidden in the woods fell down a little bit more - so DH has decided to tear it down and move it out - we will use it to "expand" our juvi pen and convert the juvi pen to a duck house!! Getting ready to order some freedom rangers too!! WOOT!!
