Coop Scoop, sorry to hear you guys won't be making it. :( That sounds like a long trip you're taking on though!

I had someone else called into work that weekend that can't make it now either, but I still have a few people. I'll probably schedule another class this summer to make up for the people who couldn't come so no worries. In the fall I'm hoping to do a pressure canning course for those who want to invest the big bucks for a canner! I adore mine, and nothing better then having stock of stock! hahaha... canning puns, I kill myself!

My bantam cochins went broody on me... go figure! So I set a few of Alex's eggs and I hope they hatch for her. This is both the girls first go at hatching. Fingers crossed they don't quit on me.

Anyone want a muscovy hen? She's white and 3 years old. Sweet as sweet can be, but my not bright neighbors have been hand feeding her cat food and out petting her, so she's 'visiting' all my neighbors now and flying around the neighborhood. I'm concerned about her walking in the road. She's never ventured that far from home until recently. She'd probably be better off with someone who doesn't have really close neighbors. She free ranges 24/7 and sleeps on top of our chicken coop for safety. Again, she's real friendly and I hate to see her go... but it would probably be safest for her.

Thought I would share some pictures of the three bantam Americauna's that hatched from Beth's eggs I got at my first WCA. I know one of the colors is black, not sure about the other two. Can you give me a guess Beth? Or anyone? I am naming them Huey, Luey, and Duey, because they act like them. Very strange little chickies. They dont stay under the heat much during the day and they are only a week old. They just stay piled on each other looking out the window of their box and chirping up a storm. However hopefully they all will not stay a Huey, Luey, or Duey if you know what I mean.

This one is just for fun. They are checking out the camera... its their first time

Pictures of my Mixed Up Orpingtons. Well, they're in with all the other velociraptors/teenagers. Getting individual pictures is nearly impossible unless I catch them up. But enough so you can see the color mixes. There are Lavender orps in there, and BCMs. The oddly colored ones are the mixes. Some are quite pretty. Others are just weird. There's also one true buff, but it appears to be a roo. The blacks I'm keeping. But the buff and the mixes will go to the swap Saturday.
