My Hovabator has shipped today! Woohoo!
And...I burned out my mixer today.
Now I have to get a new one. I hate researching appliances. I also hate not having a mixer! ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!
My friend came to pick up her flock of Lady Gouldian finches I've been babysitting, and went out to look at chickens first. She'd never see the bantams. I had to drag her away from the lemon-blue OEGs. She was in love. And the newly hatched bantam chicks just enthralled her. Her hubby is not a chicken fan (allergic to eggs, and can't even stand the smell of them, poor guy), so she doesn't get to have chickens, but she adores birds of all kinds. A close-up photo of the feathers on my lone Speckled Sussex is her screen saver picture. She's an artist, and some of her art featuring some of my birds has hung around the world. It was so much fun to watch her just standing in front of those lemon-blues, staring, with her mouth hanging open. She thought the creles were pretty, and the BBRs, but the lemon-blues stole her attention for good. She'll be back with her cameras!
