DS and little DD are always wanting to help me with the birds, so they might like it

Got all the chores done and the bacon cooked and the kids are still asleep. Getting in a couple deep breaths...and hopefully a shower...before they get up.
Taking them away for all day won't work well, as I still have chores to do here. (And RF, letting them chase my livestock just isn't in the picture!) They need things to do here. However, they are very excited about a fun opportunity that hubby offered them. They are going to clean out a chicken house! They think that is very exciting.Since I don't expect them to last through it, I'm designating the smallest one...Juvenile Detention! It's only 8 x 8 feet. Let's see what they can do with it.
I wish I knew people with kids to invite over, but actually all the people I know with kids are...you guys! Or my sisters, but they are two states away and no help here. All of my other friends either have grown kids or no kids. That's what happens when you're old!
I do have a croquet set and a badmitten set we put out for kids and anyone else when we have a party. I don't think horseshoes is safe for ones that age, though. I'll have hubby get those out, and make sure the dogs are inside when those are in play. Reilly would eat balls, birdies, and anything else that gets left unattended.

It's the second Saturday of every month at the Tractor Supply on Huffman Mill (right off I-40) in Burlington. They let you set up for free, and it's usually pretty good. The Tractor Supply in Asheboro might be closer to you - they do one every month, too. Not sure which Saturday - you might give them a call and see?
I ended up deciding not to go because of the chance of rain.....and now the sun is shining like crazy.So, my SFH roo stays home for a while longer. Anyone looking for one?
That's great she showed me a draft just a few weeks ago, and there was not yet a proposal on that Wed. It sounds like it is moving forward quite fast. We are actually out of the city limits, so it would not affect me the way it would many others who have said that this was something that they have wanted. I have been trying to tell all I could to help those in the city limits. On a few occasions people have told me at the farmer's market @ Herman Park about the proposal. That is why I went to the county one day and asked, and was told that it was only talk at that time. The woman working in the planning department gave me a copy of the draft, and made it a point to let me know that it was not to the proposal state yet. If it has gotten that far in the past few weeks; I am ecstatic! I was told they were only in talks, and to tell the people that I know to call council members. Thanks for letting me know. Where can I look up this on line; I have not been able to find any definitive information on it that I could print. If you don't know where... thanks for the good news anyway, I can stop by the planning office again this coming week if I can't print from on line source. By the way... Love your little coop! I want to share the pic with my hubby, and boys. It is a work of art; beautiful!
