I know of a gal in my area that has a 1 year old black NN bantam roo if anyone is interested.

She also has this little rooster that ended up in a magazine. They are free..

could be because he is not done growing that he has not crowed. I had a chick who grew very big and from the start thought it was a boy, almost offed him a few times. called him Chuck till he layed an egg. now her name is Chuckwalla. She is quite friendly.

Agreed that this could be the case

I'm getting my buff Ameraucana rooster this week! I'm so excited!

Eep! Not done growing!!! LOL He's 5 months old as of the 15th. Kevin is 6 months (which reminds me should get some nice pics of Kevin/Bob for the welsummer thread to get opinions lol). I still find it mind boggling that the 3 month old is crowing and he's not lol.

I have a bachelor pad for 3 of my males until I get my breeding pens up. Only one of the 3 crows, but I know the others are boys. And they're the same age (ish), 6 months.

Added these 19 Coturnix eggs to the bator today. I have gone certifiably insane! That makes 142 eggs for thr HAL in addition to the 30ish that are due this weekend.

If you need any jumbo Coturnix eggs, let me know. I'm up to my eyeballs in eggs from them because I have no more room to set eggs.
