North Idaho / Eastern Washington

Irony at it's finest:

We got chickens originally for meat...
Then we got quail because they mature faster...
So now the chickens would be for eggs...
My father in law is allergic to gluten, and eggs, so I suggested to my MIL that she try the quail eggs. I had heard they didn't cause the same reaction in people as chicken eggs. It worked! He can eat quail eggs. So my 4 quail eggs a day were going to my in-laws.
Now, my husband just found out he's allergic to gluten and eggs as well... and we think our son is too (every time he eats gluten or eggs he says he has a stomach ache).
So, I have a bunch of chickens that give us eggs daily, and 2 out of 4 people in our house can't eat them.

I need more quail... but my incubator is full with the Easter HAL... actually I think there's some room... maybe i can squeeze some in there

I can give you some of mine if i have a good hatch. I don't need them all right now. How do you sex them? I've never even seen a quail close up. Lol

Mine have stopped laying almost entirely at the moment. They spent the winter in the garage with artificial light. But my husband wanted them out the first chance I had at decent weather. Well, they decided they're not getting enough light right now. I do have one quail in the house in the brooder (it's about a month old) and it crowed the other day, so we all know what that means... it won't lay eggs. And it'll be replacing the two other males in the pen. I only have about 6 out there right now.

Sorry, it took all day. I forgot my phone on the first run and the second time it was dead.

Blue? Polish with a White Crest

2 black chicks, one is at least a week old, if not 2 weeks. The other is starting to feather out, so at least a few days old.

Mostly buff, a few look like reds, but I'm not super experienced.

I know for sure I have a polish and a few silkies, but I'm not sure what they all are, hopefully a couple fluffy butt cochins.
