Ok, #1, everyone's invited over. We're having a grand ol time tonight. Bring more wine.
#2: everyone keeps talking about scalding. I just kill and pluck. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you. I'm sorry too, but it's a learning experience. he perked up a lot after the feeding, I'm sure he'll do better once he gets more fluids and energy. I don't really even want to keep him if I can get a better quality bird, but I can't just let him die if I can save him. If he pulls through and doesn't carry the gene I need I will contact a rooster sanctuary or something.I'm so sorry you are having to go through this![]()

Yes it is... My husband is having a very difficult time realizing the US is the ONLY country to refrigerate eggs because of the insane wash/sanitize methods we have for commercial egg production.Very pretty!
And is that one of those egg skelters?

I think I'm going to ask my husband for one of these for my birthday:

I like the fact that the bin is removeable for cleaning. and the fact that it comes on wheels already...
Not done yet, I have 4 out and 4 more pips. Are all of you finished with your hatches? I was able to borrow a GQF incubator. I am have it running to get the temp/humidity right. However, I feel like I need to prepare more (like studying for a final). lol. Any advice on the hows and whats of incubating before I set my first batch?![]()
