Could always have someone else hatch em for ya
wink.png

Side note: no broken toe. Just severely sprained (joint where big toe meets foot). Couldn't even touch it yesterday, so I went to the doctor. I get to keep it wrapped for a while. And doctor also said to stay off it, lol. 2 young children and 20+ chickens. I don't see how that's possible but I'm doing my best.

Yay on the not broken!
Haha maybe, but I think he is all chicked out, if they aren't the same age as our current batches he won't want them. But he's so amazing he said that it sucks, but we'll just keep a few extra Ameraucana instead. So @pips&peeps let me know if you end up with any LF choc chick for purchase soon.
Question for all of you hatching people...how long do you keep chicks in hatching area before opening or moving to brooder?
I will clear them out if the humidity is above 75% and if they are fluffy and running around.

Only chicken people are going to understand why my hands are purple . my polish got her head pecked by one of the older chicks. Now she has a purple puff

I hope she's okay.
SERIOUSLY? I'm in lockdown. If we lose power I'm going to be mad (and feel jinxed)

Oh no! No power outages!

So I was under the impression that if I put a blue copper Moran over a cream legbar that the chicks would be sexable. Two chicks hatched with no head spot but one of them has a huge comb now and looks like a roo. I don't know what to think.

Pics and age? The chicks should be sexlinked with the legbar as the mom. Were you still wanting to buy the Lav Ams and splits? I messaged you on Facebook, but if you're on here I'll ask instead.

@Saris would definitely be the one to ask for color or sex linked questions.

couldn't get the pics to upload here but I tagged you on Facebook. I ended up getting Lavender Orpingtons instead of americaunas.

one time I bred a blue andelusian to a cuckoo maran, the chick had a spot and it ended up a girl.
Weird, did it end up being barred too? With the Maran as the mom?

Okay. I think @CGilbert called next on them.
