Brody's Broodello :

Hi everyone, thanks to all those who stopped by. It was great meeting you all. A special thanks to those who bought silkies & cages from us. We brought 24 and all found new homes today. Good luck with them. I haven't had a chance to get any pics at all. It was so busy I barely had a chance to look around. We placed well today.

I bought a small silky pullet, black, from you and she is just so sweet my daughter wants to show her next year and named her "Luna"

Here is a head shot of her.
I loved the variety of birds and have talked to a few people who had not been to a chicken show before that have had chickens and showing has peaked thier interest

I was pleased with the amount of sale birds. I told hubby I was taken with the china geese but when reading I read they are quite noisy- anyone have an opinion?

I saw a cochin at a show and I swear he could have been used as a hassock!

the Cochin's. Anyone know who I could buy a trio of SQ/BQ from? I live in VT but for the right birds I'd be willing to drive.

I have a pair of bantam cochins if your interested- black and white mottled

Baby pix are in my avatar- only asking $20 for the pair

I am only going to add one thing to this discussion:

The White Crested Black (WCB) Polish should have been of better quality than a Laced Polish. WCB is the most popular color of Polish. A more popular color, means more breeders, and more breeders means more birds, and more birds means more chances of great quality birds.

Consider the Old English Game Bantam (OEGB). Why do OEGB's win Show Champion and Reserve Show Champion at so many poultry shows? They are so dang popular!

Ok, sorry it took so long, but had to read through the last 20 pages to see where your thread derailed. Whew.

Please continue and hopefully, there will be no other little detours. Great pics all through this! Congrats on your wins, everyone.
