OK I saw this post and said,"No, no don't do it - you will get sucked in more and there will be no turning back!! (We need a smiley with little devil horns and a tail) anyway....

I did it- I couldn't refuse. I opened the post and now I want to go. OK so this is it my DH has been listening to my rantings for 2weeks now about chickens (it is usually about horses, so maybe a change is good) and now I asked him to go to a chicken show - he agreed.

What is so amazing about that? There is football on....

We're going Sunday, driving two hours each way. Hopefully the snow isn't too bad. It's the only day that we can go and I need to buy a bird for my son to show in 4-H. My husband took the day out of work.

Well, here we go! We are all packed, and leaving bright and early tomorrow! I Been waiting for this weekend for months... Is that a sign that I need a life, or just more chickens!!

We should all get big buttons that say 'BYC addict, Hi, my name is...Chicken pied piper...etc!

I've counted 27 BYC people who have posted here and indicated they intend to come (I'm counting myself and my husband, as well as three mentioned by Purple Chicken).

So, how do we know each other? I will have my blue BYC hooded sweatshirt on, I'm going to try to find hubby's My Pets Make My Breakfast shirt for him to wear - it would be fun to find each other! What do you all think?

I am planning on trying to find one or two other people, but honestly, I am going to be too agog staring at all the lovely birds, and stalking the sales area to be to scheduled or focused.

If the BYC supporters were smart, they would have a table at each of these events, and offer for sale t-shirts, and buttons with your avatar on them or something... so we would recognise each other easily.... That would be fun!

Is anybody else as freakin' psyched about tomorrow as I am??!!! LOL!!! My 12 year old son wants to leave right now. He saved all of his Christmas gift money for this event in case he sees a chicken that he just has to have. Sometime I'm not sure which one of us is the kid. I'm just happy to have a son who would rather do "chicken chores" than play video games.

It really would be cool to have a way to identify fellow BYC'ers, and put faces to the names.

I will be the one with the kid, the dh looking overwhelmed and the stuffed BYC mascot. Oh and I will be wearing my red Marine Corp jacket.

No fudge though. I forgot butter when I was out and there is no way I am heading back out there JUST for butter.

Redhen and I will be going on Sunday. (I believe her hubby will be there...not sure about her boys) I talked my neighbor into going with me (I'm getting her addicted to chickens too!

)
