ROOSTERS...if you are trying to sell/give away your roosters this weekend, I prefer if you could qualify the buyer first. I'm a bit concerned with a ton of roosters crowing all day! but I guess we also can cover their cages to keep them quieter! THANKS can't wait

So this morning I was a bit sleepy I have a teething One year old and I came up with an amazing life theory that I had to share. So here it is

The reason I'm chicken obsessed: My whole life my Dad whose from Mexico has called me : MELINA GALLINA which for any spanish speaking people knows means more or less Melina my name and Gallina a female chicken so thank you dad your the reason all I do is look at chicken stuff.

OK I can't find the page again for what's available. What breed are your cockerels? If they are Phoenix that would be cool.

OK I'm going to be a late entry here people. I bought a car last month and it had a radiator leak. Theshop down the street it trying to get it fixed for me, but 2 different radiators have been sent and they don't fit up right. They called a couple of hours ago and think they may have found one. Trying to keep it down in price, because I really can't afford it right now. I love these guys.

Anyway I wouldn't know until later today or tomorrow if it's going to be done in time. If it is.........I'll be there with 2 others and looking for some BCMs! I'll have to figure out what's left to bring when I know for sure. Don't want to volunteer and then not be able to be there and bring something.

The cockerels are OEGBs. They're cute, great little guys. They'd be perfect for a 4H project if anyone has a 4H kid in their lives who would like a small, friendly, beautiful show bird. I may actually try and call my local 4H and let them know I have these guys available for free to a 4H kid who would spoil them. I would just keep them, but six roosters in one coop is just a bit too much. At least they all get along for now, though I'm not sure they always will.

I don't have any phoenix roosters, sadly! I have four hens (two standards that are around ten years old now, and two bantams), but no roos for now. I do have a bantam sumatra rooster, though--hmmm, I'll bet that would make an interesting cross if I want to do something fun.

The sumatra rooster will probably produce interesting babies in general. Might have to stick some eggs in the incubator once he's mating some hens.

Good luck with getting your car fixed, Wolftracks! I hope it works out in time.

And here I was a couple of month ago thinking, "A chicken get together might be fun. Maybe, 5 to 10 people, it could be a barbeque... I bet nobody would be that interested though... it'll be nice regardless, chatting chickens with some like minded folks...".

I never imagined the event would wind up being so much more!

I'm hoping all this effort turns out to be a great day on Sunday.
