Northern California Meet Up/Chicken Swap - Sunday October 10th!

Oooh I'm glad I caught this!

I don't really have anything to offer. Only my friendship and maybe some brownies.

I would love to meet other chicken people as most of my friends think I'm the crazy chicken lady.....

If anyone is coming from my area (Yolo/Solano) I can do a carpool!

I'm still toying with attending. I have to find someone who will go with me though and I don't know who that would be. Very hard for me to do anything since I lost my husband. He was my rock.

BUT...I did just see that you have some FBCMs that will be available, Cheryl. What will you be asking for them and how many do you have in the cooker?

Ooo - a chicken meetup nearby! We would love to come. We don't have any critters to buy or sell but I can bring homemade bread. Maybe a challah made with freshly laid eggs?

We went to the chickenchat meetup in Forestville last month and had a fabulous time. Looking forward to meeting a crew that's closer to us (we're in Oakland). Thanks for mentioning this on the ChickenChatGroup Cheryl!

Oh - question for you: we will be on our way back from Sacramento and will have our little white fluffy dog with us. Is it ok if we bring her? She's well behaved with kids and birds. Let me know. Thanks!

I'm really sorry, no dogs allowed

We will have our two labs inside for the most part as Nifty (byc founder) daughter is highly allergic, also with so many people our dogs get wound up and are not welcoming to other dogs, SO SORRY

I can't imagine what you've gone through, but I do know that chicken-people are some of the nicest most fun people I've ever met and it would uplifting for you to attend. Maybe there is someone in this thread that is coming from your area and you can come together, just an idea...

As far as the FBCM I am toying with the idea of bringing in some chicks from a well known breeder and they will be 1-2 weeks old. If not, I have 10 in the bator, hatching Oct 15

Please consider coming it will be great fun!

This sounds like great fun! I will be attending. I signed up for a side dish, but let me know if there is anything additional that will be needed!

MORE chicks Cheryl??? Who's the breeder? If they're 1-2 weeks old at the time of the meet, then I might be interested too. Day olds are just too much work.
