Dougie is such a good broody

She's very committed. I almost feel bad that they won't hatch 😭
Someday for sure though.
She seems to have officially stopped laying. Second night with no egg now. So at least one of them has finally stopped!

She makes mean faces but she's such a sweet heart. All bark no bite.
Spright still isn't broody, she was very down earlier, missing Dougie, so I let her out for a walk

One of my almost 12 yr old(July) Muscovy is broody gave her 3 Runner and Buff eggs I’ll know in about 2 more days if they are fertile. I can’t let them hatch out Muscovy since I already have a drake and he would make life miserable for all of us.
Doughie is so adorable sitting on her nest.♥️

Awh hopefully they're fertile!

Well,  someone ate *two* eggs last night, one from the nest and I assume what Sprightly laid.
I don't want to make assumptions or name names,  but Sprightly did have yolk dripping off her face this morning which was a little bit suspicious

I'll be separating them tonight, see but no touch, so that I can be sure
They've never eaten their eggs like that before, not unless they're offered to them, but Sprightly has been very upset since Dougie went broody, perhaps this was out of spite 😂

Oh, also, I've started cutting the pills up so they're a bit smaller, and putting them straight down her throat- she rejects it in or on treats, and fights the syringe, again.
So I'm finding this easier. She did really well this morning with it

I'm just annoyed that I don't know what she laid last night. The last egg I saw was the same as usual though, ton of calcium deposits.

It was definitely a spiteful move
