Not again 😣

I've gone back to full doses of calcium, since the last soft shell. I'm going to keep going until the shells improve, maybe indefinitely :( we'll see how we go.
I gave Spright the full dose this morning, got it all down in one go! So I'm really hoping we'll get good shells tonight. I had to remove an extra egg today because I detected a slight foul odour. It was one of the ones that got dirty before and I don't think it was salvaged well enough. Yuck. The rest seem fine, I'm keeping on top of them.

How are the girls doing today?
They're okay, it's a warm sunny day and they've been in and out of the pool! They're in a good mood and both wanted hugs when I went out to check on them!
We had another *very* deposity egg last night, but I'm just glad it's got a shell.
Do you think it's worth getting and trying the probiotics that I linked?

I feel like a bad duck mum tonight, I had a gut feeling earlier today that Dougie was feeling a little off and still stayed inside all evening because I was in pain
And I go out to put them to bed and find egg yolk and some soft shell pieces on the floor so one of them must have had a problem and I didn't pay close enough attention to be there to help. I can't say if it was Dougie or Sprightly. But they've both had a small dose of calcium and gone to bed.

I think it was Dougie who had the soft shell egg yesterday, in the nest box this morning there was only one fresh egg, it only had a very small amount of calcium deposits, but I'm pretty sure it's Sprightly's

Let's just hope Dougie isn't now having problems, I'm sure it's just a blip. But I gave her some calcium this morning and I'll keep an eye on her.
