Not an Emergency...Marek's in the Flock

You start with Sulmet...you finish with Sulmet. Go the course. All I was saying, is that in the future, Corid is one of those drugs that is a good one to have on hand, as is the Sulmet. Marek's in the birds can tend to skew things, so both are a good bet, just in case.

Thank you =) You've been really helpful, they have perked up, still not eaqting, but not sleeping nearly as much. I see about getting corid for my next batch, that gives me some time (next batch is next spring ) I'll finish with sulmet, from what I've read, it should get rid of whatever they have =) The chicks are the base for my future flock, so I'm really trying to get them to adulthood. Nine week old chicks doing great!!!

X2, I also keep both on hand.

I found a poop that had intestinal lining in it, wasn't a bloody poop though, is this because the sulmet is harsh on the chicks body?
Just keep an eye on it... If you continue to see the lining, it probably means that there is a problem and you might want to switch to Corid.

My chicks are on their last day of the medicine, this is their 5th day on it, and are completely healed. My ten week olds were acting "off" So I treated them for a couple of days, but I'm thinking they were just depressed (bad weather, and not being able to free range)
