No words can console you in your loss of Pear-Pear...so very, very sorry...your sadness is felt by so many here....she is at peace now...she was one very beautiful girl and in time I hope you will be able to remember the great times you shared with her...for now it is about YOUR feelings...thinking of you

Pear-Pear passed this morning...

So very sorry to hear that Pear-Pear passed away. I know the sadness you are feeling right now and I offer you my sincerest condolences. Marek's is a heart wrenching disease. I did find this group to be both educational and supportive. I promised all my chickens that died from this disease that I would do my best to educate all other chicken owners I come in contact with about Marek's. I can't save my lost girls but I can use their experiences to hopefully save others. I was able to convince two local feed stores to only sell vaccinated chicks. I tell everyone my story in the hopes it saves someone that pain. This is was what I threw my grief into to try to find a way to deal with it.

You just don't know how many times I read and then re-read your posts of sympathy. They definitely helped get me through this horrendous day !!!

I just finished the Submission Form for Necropsy that I'll be sending with Pear-Pear's body on Monday. I really wish I could bury her in my pet cemetery but I
know we'll benefit more from donating her body to science.

I'm finally off to bed now. I'll tell you about my day tomorrow...oops...today I guess I should say...it's so late.

P.S. I figured out a way to donate her body to science and bury her in my cemetery...later today I'll pluck some of her feathers and put them in an envelope
with a few pictures of her and me and bury that in my pet cemetery !!! How's that for 'having my cake and eating it too'...lol !!!

My prayers go to you and Pear-Pear, I hope that her donated body can help find a cure if possible to Maraks, for those of us who have had somthing simple happen we know the feeling, just remember that she lived a good life and is with god, now that I think of it, how old was Pear-Pear?
