Not another storm!

We are supposed to be getting ice...up to 1/2 to 3/4 inch...yippee; followed by snow and zero temps and below zero wind chills!! Can hardly wait! We are as ready as we can be..lots of wood, gas stove on the back porch, generator large enough to run the well..FINALLY..and enough feed to keep the chickens happy for over a week or so.....will be watching to see what everyone gets....stay safe!!!

NWS has already started cranking out the warnings - scared us tonight when the weather radio started blasting.

snow, freezing rain/sleet, then more snow....

Not as much as places out east (PA and such!) so I guess I shouldnt complain.

Going to be either getting like 8inches+ of snow or like 1 inch+ of ice

I'd rather have the snow.. less chance of a poweroutage..

I have 54 or so quail eggs in the incubator as well

My weather bug is saying that we will get some snow, and probably ice. UGH! Yep, we all got to weather this out!

The last ice storm we had a couple of years ago, alot of folks didnt have power five to seven days. We did, and I do not know if it is the advantages of being close by in town or just a couple of blocks from grocery stores, McD, resturaunts and hospital...and the electric station three blocks down from us. Maybe we are just lucky.

I did notice last year the electricians and tree trimmers were HARD at work, trimming trees away from lines and roads.
