Not another storm!

ew...that's an idea. Never thought of that--fillin tub for the pot.

calgon makes my skin irritated...you can have the box i have yet to dispose of.

Thanks, I'll take that Calgon! I didn't know if it was even still being made. After this winter I'll need to soak for a week. I thought maybe they had gotten our forcast wrong but they are still calling for an inch of sleet and maybe 1/2" or more of ice on top of that. It's raining now - and it's 25* so it's really getting slick out there. I'm hunkered down for a while I think. There will be no getting out of my driveway for a while. Took some snow off my roof today to lighten the load. Hope you all stay safe and warm!!!

I hope everyone out there in the storm's path is safe and warm.

We dodged the bullet and ended up with only about a 1/4" of ice coating everything ~ still slippery, but doesn't seem to be too much damage. I did have to go out and throw hot water on my Hughesnet satellite dish to get the ice off so we now have internet! We lost power this morning for about 4 hours, but it is back on and the forecast for the next few hours is temps above freezing and rain.

And the best thing ~
Phil Says Expect an Early Spring!

Phil's official forecast as read February 2nd, 2011, at sunrise at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, PA:

Here Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Groundhog Day, February 2, 2011
Punxsutawney Phil was raised from his burrow
By the call of President Bill Deeley.
He greeted his handlers, Ben Hughes and John Griffiths.

After casting an inquisitive eye towards thousands of his faithful followers,
He proclaimed that the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl!

Back to the business at hand...
He surveyed his surroundings carefully and found that there was no shadow around,
So, an early spring it will be.

West central NJ also dodged the bullet, sorta. Had an inch+ of snow followed by a half an inch coating of ice. Lost power last night, but it just came back on. Trees breaking and falling branches all over the place.

They said we got 11inches last night, but some melted down with the sleet. Forcast is low 30's for the next 4 days. Tropical vacation!!

Well, we ended up with 3" of snow with about 1/2" of sleet and ice. I couldn't shovel the driveway. It's just too heavy and I have to worry about agravating an old injury. Sooooo... I just put salt down and gunned the car up the driveway!

I made it okay. Maybe someone will surprise me again by plowing my driveway.

I love surprises like that!

So now they are calling for more snow on Saturday and then again of Tuesday... I hope that grotesque groundhog knows something we don't.
