NOT POSSIBLE. Can't be real! Is this a bullseye?

Yes I thought the same thing. Sorry Aubrey. Many eggs have a white spot on them but the bullseye is more well defined with a tiny white dot in the center then it usually has an almost clear circle around that then a ring around that. Very well defined. Here's a link to the thread that showed me what to look for.

Sorry, that isn't a bullseye.

Your hen's reputation is secure. Unfortunately for Petey.

Usually the center is more "perfect" and there is a clear delineation between it and the next ring. Keep checking those eggs though- maybe it was just a very early one? Or the bull's-eye doesn't photograph well?

it was taken with camera phoen and while i have my doubts, it did look a lot like sunny's picture. Granted Petey has been very rapey with the girls his own size i am still convinced it is a fluke

We have a blue showgirl roo in with our big hens. When we're out there the hens pretend they wouldn't give him the time of day, but last time I set eggs in the bator I set one of our EE hen's just for fun thinking it would never hatch. The joke was on me, and the egg hatched this past weekend! I'm too new to be able to directly attach a pic but here's a link to the pic on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/slave2tehtink/6023355124/ He looks just like daddy at the moment but I'v read that silkie feathers are a recessive trait so I'm thinking he'll grow up looking like his daddy, only with hard feathers.

And now I know for sure the hens are lying when they pretend they think our roo is funny looking.

Aww so cute! I see him wing dancing them all te time but they just stare at him blankly, hahaha.

I don't think anyone is really takin me seriously when I day that these are just cell phone pictures and there was a white ring around a dark ring around a white dot. I'm gonna check today's egg and see what it looks like.
