Not quick enough and got a frozen egg

I'm usually on the same page....DON'T WASTE ANYTHING ! I changed my mind after my FIL got Salmonella (sp) . Usually a frozen egg will break through the membrane , if it does than all that fecal matter seeps into your breakfast or cookies . My girls are starting to lay half way decent again (30 hens , getting 12 and rising on eggs ) and it's frustrating to have half of them cracked and frozen . I go out every couple hours....but even in a coop that has a heat lamp and insulated..it happens at 5-minus 25 degrees . I used to eat them all the time...never got sick...but after hearing FIL story , I think I'll just stick to scrambling the bad ones up and warming the bellies of my layers !

If they are just frozen there is nothing wrong with eating them, Ive heard the texture is different after they freeze and thaw but no harm in eating them.

If it was cracked I wouldnt eat it, but dont think your gonna die if you have !!

Frozen eggs here also. I eat them as long as they did not crack. I have thought about eatting the ones that crack, but am not having a shortage of eggs, so have been feeding cracked eggs to other animals.
