Hatchery quality wyandotte
I was thinking that he could have cochin in him. But, I still think he's a brahma mix, just that the brahma parent had one copy of the single comb gene and one copy of the pea comb gene.I think he's more likely a cochin mix. The pea comb is dominant, so if he was a brahma mix, he'd have a pea comb.
Genetic variety. Even show quality chickens will have differences between individuals.Ok, thanks. But why is she more black than my other wyandotte's?

Not exactly. Notice how your cockerel has a blue body with buff leakage in the wings and hackle. The other rooster has blue only in his hackle and tail. Here’s a picture of a blue buff Colombian Orpington I found color pattern looks identicalView attachment 1929266
Where did you get them?My apologies as these guys are 7 weeks, but please take a shot! (Just the 2 mixes, we know what the silkies are )

A friend has a farm with animals running wild. She had a hen hatch these 2 and take off so she gave them to us.Genetic variety. Even show quality chickens will have differences between individuals.

These are only guesses at this point, but I'm thinking that the first one is a wheaten marans mix and the second one an Easter egger mix.A friend has a farm with animals running wild. She had a hen hatch these 2 and take off so she gave them to us.
Thanks! I’ll update with photos as they get bigger. These are only guesses at this point, but I'm thinking that the first one is a wheaten marans mix and the second one an Easter egger mix.
I'd like ya to have a go at some of my little guys, if you don't mind!
The following are birds from TSC (I do not know what hatchery they use)...
The first two chicks, Hoot and Holler, were labeled as pullets. But were they Ameraucana? Aracauna? I don't remember... I don't think they look like Ameraucanas, but I am no expert.
Also, what would you call their colours? Is Holler a partridge?

The next two were labeled, of course, "Assorted Bantam"... they have the stiff little upright tails when they aren't being held against their will lol (if you want to take a stab at gender, too, feel free!)

I have two other unknown bantams, but I haven't banded and photographed them just yet.
The two lavender ones look like Old English Game bantams to me. I have two cockrels. Didn't luck up with a pullet. Depending on age, yours look like pullets to me.I'd like ya to have a go at some of my little guys, if you don't mind!
