I have this beautiful cockrel... not sure on his coloring? I hatched out a batch from my flock at about the same time I received an order of mixed chicks from a hatchery. The hatchery chicks were pendecasta, black australorp, wellsummer, Delaware, white rock and cream legbar. I do not think he is any of those.

@RoostersAreAwesome, can you help me with this rooster? I was guessing maybe golden cuckoo marans but I'm not sure. We has pink legs, he had a straight comb, but his previous owner dubbed it. He has a light beak too. He has a lot of barred black and white feathers in his saddle and tail feathers. He's pretty big. I would love it if you could ID him. Sorry the pics aren't the best. I got rid of him last fall. I have his offspring though, would love to know what he is. TIA

I can tell you what breed or mix of breeds you have. All you have to do is post some pictures and tell me where you got your chicken(s).

Preferred pictures would be a standing side profile, a picture of the legs and feet (if not included in the side profile), and a picture of the comb (if it's not a single comb).

I would also prefer that you only post chickens that are older than 12 weeks. I can try with younger chicks, but sometimes it's impossible to know at that age.

I would be happy to tell you how I came to my conclusions. If you're wondering about your chicken's sex, I can help with that, too!

What kind is he? I bought him at Orscheln.

barnyard mix

Do you know which hatchery your tractor supply gets their chicks? They look like some kind of production hybrid with leghorn in them, though I've never seen ones that look like this.
Ideal 236 Hybrid leghorn, Part Ancona, Part California grey. Mine looked like that when they were young, now they look more like leghorns. They used to have a few black spots but they grew out of them...

So, you're unsure if he's a mix from your flock or a hatchery chick?

Why do you say his legs are pink? In those pictures they're yellow. His coloring is called barred buff columbian (like buff brahmas, but with the barring gene). He could be an RIR mix, but there are a lot of breeds that could have contributed to his coloring. He's definitely a mix.

Buff orpington

 I don't know. They were definitely pink when I washed them
