These are my three roosters. No idea what breed they are, am thinking the little red one is some jungle fowl mix. They were all running wild. I needed roosters so I caught em! 3D846FE4-7CC6-42BE-B58C-F75E1B38D4C7.jpeg 08FA6BED-9FF1-4C7B-B7C2-81DA1D5ED237.jpeg 26E13687-36BA-4577-9F13-D7B273AFDC58.jpeg 6555685C-E00C-42B8-8216-271B8B7ED162.jpeg 7D2926C0-B4EF-4094-9116-0603D8CD7A3A.jpeg

She's a red sex link. She looks so different from most RSLs because her cross isn't a Rhode island red x Rhode island white, it is a RIR x silver laced wyandotte cross. You can see more examples of this in this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/cinnamon-queen-thread.938674/.

They look like mixes of mixes with some game in them, especially the last one. Could also have some jungle fowl influence.
at what age can you tell the gender of Cornish X?
I'm not sure. I hadn't owned any meat birds before. Since both sexes seem to develop large, red combs early on, it would probably be a challenge to tell them apart at a young age. I'm also not sure when they start to develop saddle feathering. I'd assume 14+ weeks?

Yeah its going to be a challenge, I am going to ask folks in the meat bird section but in about 3 weeks I may post pictures of them for people to guess at. Who knows maybe its easier than expected.

I have had this hen for several years and I think she is some sort of cross. We got her for free from somebody who was moving. She lays cream eggs and has blue earlobes, blue feet, blue skin, and an extra toe.
