Not sure how much more I can take!!!

I for one know you are not seeking rescue!!! You have already been saved. I also encourage you to stop looking for what it may be that weighs on you so, and focus your eyes to the heavens and praise praise praise. He will show you soon enough. His timing is perfect.

I don't remember much about the year I was 26 (2001), but I do remember it as being my worst year ever! Maybe it's a rite of passage or something. A lot of worse things have since happened in my life (moved "home" to be closer to my family only to be used and betrayed by a sister who tore the whole family apart), but I have to keep reminding myself that at least I'm not 26! All my best wishes for the New Year and a new start!

Wow, a good friend of mine told me that a while ago, and it's good advice. Forgiveness is paramount, but reconciliation is not. If you want to be bitten every time you hold your hand out, just adopt a vicious dog rather than remain yolked to those who constantly hurt you.

My brother always said get rid of those crazy women, the trolley full of new ones will be along in about 15 min. Life is too short to be miserable in a relationship, or any other kind of "ship."

When my kids were little, and then teens (had 5 at the same time)

I told them two things over and over. "God gives us the worms, but he doesn't throw them into the nest", and the fable about the little girl who was trudging up the mountain, in a horrible snow storm, and she came upon a rattlesnake. He begged and begged her to pick him up and put him in her coat so he wouldn't freeze to death. She resisted, and said "But you will bite me!" and the snake swore he would never do that to her if she would just pick him up and get him out of the freezing cold. So, she relented, picked him up, put him in her coat, and he bit her. She was horrified and said, "but you promised me you wouldn't do that!!" and the snake said, "you knew what I was when you picked me up!" I used this when they were running with undesirables. Worked some but not always, but I think this is such a valuable lesson and a good story that kids understand.
Sort of all the subject, but when I saw the sayings and beliefs this just popped into my head.
