cockerelTrying to confirm if one of my 12 week old Rhode Island reds is a rooster? Thanks!!![]()
I've never used IFA, I've used our local TSC. Now I normally get straight run and get 1 or 2 roosters, only once did I get a rooster in a "pullets" bin. I would definitely talk to the people, because it sounds like they are selling straight run, not pullets (there is no way you get that 1% every time) . I hope you get this figured out!Hi I could use some advice. This is my second year as a backyard chicken NUT! What I need help with is for the second year in a row I have ended up with roos in my flock after buying pullets. I was told there is a 1% chance of this happening. Last year I bought 6 Pullets and 2 were boysThis year to make up for my loss I bought 2 new fluffy butts and IFA. Now after months of gooey care I'm thinking they are both boys. Something about the crowing and mounting makes me think this is the case.
My question is what is the etiquette here? I'm not looking to take them back, I can find someone to take them. I cannot have roos where I live. But my percentage here is 50% not 1% Will IFA work with me to get new fluffy butts?
Thanks for any advice
