    Chicks #2 and #4 are looking a lot like cockerels. Keep an eye on the rest.

    Looks a little roo-ish.. keep an eye on him/her. I heard that RIR pullets had a black line on their head, your chick doesn't.. but I am kinda thinking that's a myth.

    X2, that's a hen. She is just taking longer to start laying, and roosters would already be crowing. She has straight, rounded tail feathers and body feathers, and no spurs as far as I can see.

    2 and 4 look like cockerels. I'm suspicious of 6 being a boy too. If your still not sure in a couple of weeks just ask us ;)

    I've had loads of RIR chicks and none of then have the black stripe. I'm sure it's a myth.
