Here is Margaret, a Buff Orp

ington, that is ten weeks old. Her comb is starting to turn pink. At what age should we expect to see pink (not red) in a pullet's comb?

Pullet, a cockerel's comb would plump and a lot darker

Roo? 9 week old California Grey. Very small but very confident. Purchased at TSC.

This one was supposed to be a "pullet" golden wyandotte. But I am pretty sure I received a cockerel mix wyandotte. 8 weeks old, purchased at TSC.

I am positive the one with gold is a cockerel. I am posting a picture of his sister as well and she looks way different. 9 weeks old, olive Eggers. I plan on keeping him because he is supper sweet!!

And finally, 9 week old Mottled Java. Purchased at TSC. I am absolutely positive he is a cockerel. Just needing that verification .

They will likely not be crowing anytime soon, so waiting is a very good idea. As time goes by, you'll be sure about the genders.

From top to bottom are two buckeyes, dark brahmas, and buff orpingtons. Hoping for all pullets since we can't have any roos in my city. Got them at the local Agway when they were a few days old. They are now 7 weeks today give or take a few days.
