Lilly Sue is a pullet.
Not sure about Payson... leaning toward pullet, as my males usually showed by 5 weeks, but yours might be different. Payson has the better conformation.

Just seen this! I’ve posted my own thread but I’ll post in here too if it is your specialty

10 x 5-6 week old light Sussex bantams and light Sussex bantams cross a red hybrid

1 x 3-4 month old silkie

4,5,6 and 8 have a lot of color and larger wattles, so suspecting they are cockerels, but too soon to tell for sure and others may be slow to develop so you might have more males.

The Silkie is... uhm... a Silkie. From the little I can see of the comb, it could be a pullet. The crest is soft and rounded like a pullet. Males get "streamers" in the crest... makes it look more spiky. So my guess is pullet (emphasis on guess ).

I assumed both were pullets, but Payson's comb and wattles have been growing very fast for the past week or two...suddenly exceeding the size of Lilly Sue's. Who knows for sure until someone crows or lays an egg though?

Thanks! I am super excited! Counting the days (102). Silkies and a "mystery" bantam! Shoot - I will need help identifying breed, too! I already have 4 pullets.

Awesome! That’s so exciting! Silkies are super hard, but we will try our best. I have one silkie (well, I’m starting to think he’s a mix ) and he’s the sweetest little guy.

It gets very active every spring when the chicks start to arrive! Congrats on your new chicks! Silkies are hard to sex.
