Hi there, I have 4 7 week old chicks and I’m trying to guess the gender. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.:)

They are almost 9 weeks.
Okay... here are my pics:
That's cool, How do you tell blue from splash? Is it because they are such light "blue"?
Yeah... Ruby is my mainly suspected roo, I guess we will have to wait for crowing to know for sure!
Thanks!!!

(I was also wondering if the green sheen a saw on Comet's tail means anything, or if it is normal)

Thank you... again!
Ruby is the only questionable one... leaning toward pullet, but not sure.
All the others look like pullets. Lad has a bit of an odd looking comb, but still pale, so female.
The green feather sheen is called iridescence. Both male and females can have that, although roosters tend to have more. Makes them flashy! Australorps have full body iridescence, even the hens. Very pretty for an all black bird.
And possible Welsummers... my two are very loud, so if the one with its mouth wide open is hollering, she probably is a Welsummer. :)
Appreciate you taking such good pics, especially of the combs which are hard to get!

Barred Rock ladies? I only have the two. Cory is the first photo and Chicksy is the second photo. Thank you!

How old are they?
At 5 weeks, you should be able to tell the difference, according to BR experts, which I am not. Males at 5 weeks will have distinctive barring and look lighter/more gray overall, pullets will look darker and speckled.

I am guessing yours are pullets if they are close to 5 weeks. Otherwise you'll have to wait and see.

View attachment 21880467 week old RIR, supposedly sexed pullet. But out of the 4 chicks that we got, 2 have already proved to be cockerels. This is Gus, and s/he looks very different from the remaining RIR chick of the same age. Help...
Small pale comb and zero wattles at 7 weeks... probably a pullet. Never had RIRs though.

Hi! This is my first post on backyardchickens.com -- could you help me determine the gender of two of my chicks? I got them on May 1, 2020 from a local pet store. So I'm guessing they are 6 weeks old. They were sold as straight run and labelled as Golden Laced Wyandottes. I have since come to believe they're both Easter Eggers (they have fluffy cheeks and green legs), but I know breed is not what this thread is for--just looking to find out if they're pullets or cockerels. I thought they were both pullets until a few days ago the #1 "Astird" got a little pinkish hue in her comb. #2 "Olopop" has no pink in her comb.

#1 "Astird"

Welcome to BYC!
I think both are pullets, #2 for sure. #1 slightly less sure. They can change a lot at 6 weeks, so keep an eye out or post again next week.
Great pics!

Silkies are the hardest. Pullets are supposed to have even rounded crests, so yours might be males, but we'll see what others think.
Hopefully Red and Chuck are pullets, but not sure on them either.
Some experts will be along soon to weigh in.
