Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Thank you so much! I will post more in a week.
Then there’s this one too. This one looks female to me but not sure. 8 weeks old as well

The small not-red combs make them look like pullets, but the red wattles make you think twice. Leaning toward pullets, but not sure. Can you post new pics next week?

14 week Australorps
both are boys

5 week old Ameraucanas
It's a little early to tell. Most look male. #2 (and maybe #4) may be female if their combs are rose comb and not pea comb.
I bought two Olive egger pullets from a gentleman a few weeks ago. well one crowed this morning and now I am worried the second is a rooster too. we can't have roos in my town. Have had some bad luck! 8 birds and 3 roos so far...

I should say approx 12-14 weeks

Look male to me. Sorry

3 almost 6 week old Buff Orpingtons.
Bird 1 (pic 1,2)
Bird 2 (pic 3,4,5)
Bird 3 (pic 6,7)
Bird #1 looks male. Orps 2 & 3 look female so far

Great! Sex this one please! 11 weeks old :)View attachment 2192081
Hard to say from pic. Size of comb & wattles look female.... but color is a little too pink. Was she hot / flushed?

Pullet or cockerel? About 8 weeks. Was supposed to be a girl.

Looks like a male to me.

Started with 10 chicks, sent 3 definite boys away at 8 weeks old. I am left with 7... hopefully pullets. I am only keeping 4 but the rest have an excellent home waiting if they are girls!
I can get closer pictures of anyone who is a suspected boy.
Any breed guesses would be awesome too!View attachment 2193297View attachment 2193302View attachment 2193298View attachment 2193299View attachment 2193294View attachment 2193295View attachment 2193296

It is harder when you don't know the breed or parents.
Most look female.
Keep an eye on 1 (very red face)
and 5 & 7 (sort of large pink wattles)
If you have males, those would be the ones.

Hello! I decided to start another thread on helping all you back yard chicken farmers determine the sex of your chicken.
I know it can sometimes be super tricky to identify gender in chicks, so that's why we made this thread! No need to start your own thread, just hop on here and share a picture of your chick, making sure it's at least 4 weeks old before asking gender. Me and @Jetblack2004 are almost 100% on genders for chicks 4 weeks+.
So feel free to ask lots of questions regarding gender. We do NOT identify breeds, only gender. However, if anyone out there is good at identifying breeds, please let us know, we would love to have your help!

Thanks!

That's a tricky one. Looks like a rose comb cross, not a pure pea comb, so the lumpy look could still be showing a pullet. Leaning that way too, but I'm not sure either.
