Wondering if I have two hens out of my 3 silver salmon marans?

Oh, 5 weeks, you have cockerels for sure.

Here are some pics, just for comparison, so you can see why yours look like cockerels.


Australorp pullet around 8 weeks (small comb, no wattles)


and the same bird at about 6 months.

All 14.5 weeks and same size. I know the 1 is a roo. Hopping the rest are pullets, but not sure about all of them. RIR x other mix. Sorry about the fuzzy last pic. Of course it's of one I'm wondering about.

The one in front is the one i'm curious about.
It's comb and wattle have been growing much faster than the one behind it and it's much more dominant.
They are both 3 1/2 months old in this picture.
Do I have a roo??

Compare the back feathers to your known male. Pullets will have broad, rounded feathers. Cockerels of that age will have noticeably different feathering on the back.
