I think all are hens the blacks wattles and comb arnt big enough for 5 months old and if no other roosters are present he would be trying to crow
Thanks for your reply. This morning I went outside to let them out, and the black one started squatting when I went to pet it, which it as never done before. It's also making a lot more noise than normal when around me. Is this now pretty much guaranteed that its a hen and not a cockerel? Thanks!

Your black chicken is 100% cockerel, zero doubt. Comb size doesn't matter so much and neither does squatting. See those saddle feathers on the low back? They are long and stringy, and obviously male. So are the sickle feathers. And the red coming in is another male trait. Sorry to tell you, but you have absolutely no hope for a hen in that chicken. The other two are pullets.

Hi everyone

I'm new to the chicken world and hatched these little ones 4-6 weeks ago and just wanting to know Rooster or Hen. I've done some research but don't trust my own judgement at this stage

I'm sure these will be easy ones for most of you and I really appreciate your time and help. Thank you

Almost 100% sure this is another cockerel

Thinking pullet

My answers are in red. They are a little young, so some pullets could show up as cockerels later on.

That's what I'm seeing as well going back and looking at his post, so I agree 100%

3 week old BCM chicks my Buff Orp/ EE co incubated. One was shrink-wrapped, splay legged, and mostly or totally blind. I can't believe she made it and I'm soooo hoping she's a she and not a he because what on earth will I do with a blind rooster!

This is LBC (little blind chick). She (please let it be a she!) is about 3/4 the size of her sibs. Is that runtiness or dainty female-ness? :)

Her 3 sibs. The left and middle I am thinking are roos and the right-most chick I am thinking is a pullet. I'm going to try and get better pics. The one with the spotted face already has copper coming out in the new feathers.
