I thought I would update this post with a current picture of "Princess" Butterfly. He is looking more roostery every day!! I thought it might be useful to see the change in a potential male to an obvious male Hatched 6/1, today is 9/21

Thanks for your reply. This morning I went outside to let them out, and the black one started squatting when I went to pet it, which it as never done before. It's also making a lot more noise than normal when around me. Is this now pretty much guaranteed that its a hen and not a cockerel? Thanks!

He's beautiful!is he an EE?

Golden laced wyandotte from Cackle hatchery. I think he is sooo beautiful too! More importantly he is a rooster with a heart of gold. He is super friendly and if you pick him up, just snuggles in and puts his head on your shoulder. When we were driving out to the farm to re-home him (after he discovered his voice), he squished into the corner of the cage as close to my daughter as he could get and put his head through the grate onto her arm.
