Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

I'm a little suspicious because it looks like the comb is getting pink, and Ameraucanas are usually slower to mature. So might be a cockerel. Not 100% sure at this point.

To give you a comparison, this is it's hatch mate that has a much different set of feathers and it's considerably larger and redder pea comb. I had just assumed it was going to be a cockerel:

That is definitely looking like a cute little cockerel. I'm not really sure on the other one, and you might want to post pictures in a few more weeks to confirm.

About to purchase this swedish flower hen girl from out of state ...but only if she IS a girl. Please advise (and thank you sooooo much!)

Hello, we took our 2 bantam roos to auction & then a friend offered us some Amercana chicks cause I wanted normal size eggs lol. Well I think we have some roos in this bunch. Guessing 6 - 7wks. The last one is one that was hatched from our bantam flock. Not sure if that one is old enough to tell. I'm going to number them so I can tell who's who.

6. Bantam Barred Rock mixed with a Golden Lace Bantam, looks like the roo we had but with feathered feet. 5wks today. Getting picked on by the bigger ones.

Thanks Shannon
