Hello, we took our 2 bantam roos to auction & then a friend offered us some Amercana chicks cause I wanted normal size eggs lol. Well I think we have some roos in this bunch. Guessing 6 - 7wks. The last one is one that was hatched from our bantam flock. Not sure if that one is old enough to tell. I'm going to number them so I can tell who's who. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Bantam Barred Rock mixed with a Golden Lace Bantam, looks like the roo we had but with feathered feet. 5wks today. Getting picked on by the bigger ones. Thanks Shannon

#1 is cockerel. Is the mother or father a barred rock for #6?

#6 the father was the barred rock bantam. The chick looks just like its father except for the feathered feet.

I know brahmas take longer to mature but at what age can I be certain ? I know when it crows. Lol.

I knew my light ones were males at 2 weeks. The buff took longer, maybe 5 or 6.

Thanks. The lady we got them from had ordered them & called them Ameraucana's that's what I was going by. She was going to split the order but the other person backed out & she just needed to get rid of a few. Happy it only looks like one.

Hatchery sourced Ameraucana are almost always Easter Eggers. True Ameraucana always have a color/variety specified. And only a handful of hatcheries have true Ameraucana, and they cost significantly more.
