Not sure what you mean by is it a tail on a chicken. The reason I said you have a cockerel is the size and color of the comb and wattles.

I'm new to chickens. He seems to be the only one of the four with an upright tail. I was wondering if that had any bearing on pullet vs cockerel.

I have 9 chicks. The oldest is almost 5 weeks light brahma. The rest are about 3 weeks so probably too young but here goes. First my light brahma.

Wow that was a lot and I may have messed up because I'm uploading from my phone. It's very hard to get good pictures without another person to help you hold or corral chicks.

thanks this is fun. I know some are too young but it will be fun to see how they change week to week and if the prediction turn out to be correct. Thanks for taking the time to look at my millions of pictures.
