BB & friends are six weeks today.








Yes, I know... They should be in their coop by now, unfortunately we've had some delays.

I'd agree, except BB acts different & has always been much lighter in color (difficult to tell with this crappy phone cam). I'm wondering if maybe BB is a BSL cockerel. Thoughts?

ETA: BB is the closest to the cam in the first pic & third pic.

Nope. A sexlink cockerel at that age would have a very large, very red comb.

Hi everyone, I was sure my barred rock was a boy. Now I'm second guessing myself after reading more in this thread.
I posted in my own thread last night also sorry if reposting is a no no.
He's 7 weeks almost 8.

Thanks! That's what we are kind of thinking too. I still want to hold out a tiny bit of hope for #5 because while it has a comb, it's not dark like the other two and it doesn't have the wattle coming in under its chin. You might not be able to tell from the pics, but 6, 7, and 8 have blue-ish legs.

Doesn't matter, 5 is definitely male.

oops I thought I put it in. He's 7 weeks almost 8.

The first two are of the same bird. Last picture I suspect is a cockerel? Approximately 4/5 week old white leghorns.

Then it's a cockerel. Waaay too much comb development for a pullet that age.
