Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Here are my two 9.5 week old Barnevelders and 11.5 week old Brahmas. My luck is never this good but I’m thinking all hens at this point. Yes or no?

We would be very happy if both Brahmas can stay!

Are you absolutely sure about the age on those Barnevelders? They still have down on their heads, they look more like they are 6 to 8 weeks. The second Barnevelder has too much black in the chest for a pullet. The Brahmas and the first Barnevelder are definitely pullets.

I got them locally at 4 weeks and was told the hatch date was March 12. They were kept indoors for quarantine until nearly 8 weeks so maybe that’s why they look a little behind?

There was one that stood out to me initially as being male but then they started looking and acting more alike. I didn’t notice the difference in chest color until I took that picture yesterday and “he” is getting a green sheen, while the other one hasn’t yet.

These two 4-week old chicks are siblings. They are supposed to be a RIR X BCMaran roo. They look so different could it be that the white headed one is a roo or could it just be different physical traits from two different breeds??? Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help! The White EE, the General, doesn't always hold her tail up like that, sometimes it is low

Chippy is the only one that looks like a potential cockerel.
