I'm wondering if anyone has any guesses on these two. They're 7 weeks old in two days and are either welsummer or brown leghorn. I can't tell which ones are which since they are so similar. They were sold to me as pullets. Both combs are very light colored so I'm thinking they are pullets.

They are so friendly !! The small one often jumps on my laps for a cuddle !

And that's how new chicken owners get in trouble with raising cockerels. What they see as cute and friendly can actually be early warning signs of aggression. Cockerels that jump up on laps aren't always being friendly. It's an act of dominance, and is very disrespectful behavior towards you. If you pick him up and set him on your lap, it's a very different situation from him voluntarily invading your space. One situation, you are in control. The other situation, he's in control.
