Here is another picture of my SLW to see if it is easier to tell if they are pullets or cockerels. They are 2 1/2 months old.

From what I can see, the combs do not look as red as a cockerel would look at that age. Don't have much experience with SLW, but they look like pullets so far.

Hello! I'm a new chicken owner with 4 black splash Ameraucanas. They're supposed to be pullets, but as they get older a couple of them are making me suspicious... :)

Chick #1: This is the oldest; I think it's about 7 wks old?

Chick #2: This one is 6 wks. The shyest and quietest of the bunch.

Chick #3: Also 6 wks. I swear this one has tried to crow...no sound comes out, but it stands up tall, stretches its head up and opens its beak for a second or two.

Chick #4: I think this one is about 5 wks old. I started noticing the pinkness in the comb several weeks ago when it was still just a tiny little thing. I thought the others had been pecking at it, but now I think he's a man, lol.

Any ideas?

3 & 4 are both cockerels

Thanks! I guess I'll have to get a couple more pullets to replace them. Don't count your chickens before they're sexed, I guess... XD
