That is a Wyandotte Mix. No Ameraucana, or even Easter Egger in that bird. And it's a boy.

I purchased Silver Laced Wyandottes, Ameraucanas, and Buff Orpingtons. I ordered all pullets. I was thinking "she" definitely looked much more like a Wyandotte cockerel.

So far all votes are on our Australorp being a pullet...anyone disagree? I really love this little one, if a girl she is Foraging Florence, if a roo Farewell Freddy. Behaviour wise & in comparison with the other 3 ladies, i believe it is a girl, but dont want to get my hopes up...im already too attached.

She looks just like my seven week old Australorp pullet.


She is 7, going on 8wks now.

Thoughts on this chick? "She" has been initiating mid air chest bumps, pushing the other 3 around, etc. I'm hoping she is just pushy and not a roo!

My reply came up stupid. I was answering honey b about her Australorp pullet. She looks just like my Australorp pullet that is the same age. Her pretty green coloring is beginning to show up.

Forgot to add- hatch date of 6/15 - so 6 1/2 weeks old now. I was told she is an Ameracauna.

I don't think anyone will be able to see through the wire well enough to answer your question.
