4 weeks is too young.


Sorry. I thought the first post said to make sure they were atleast 4 weeks, which they are lol. He's not a silkie, so I just thought you could tell already. His little waddles are turning pinkish, and his comb it quite a bit bigger than another chick I have the same age.

Some cockerels are very obvious, very early on. But usually, to get a good and accurate gender guess the bird needs to be completely feathered in and near 8 weeks old, unless a cockerel is very obvious.
 
2 silkies: one blue, one white. Both 13 weeks old. White one crowed yesterday morning, but I have heard girls can do that too sometimes. Hen? Roo?


 
Thank you Minihorse are they likely to fight when they get older?
