Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Oh, I wanted to write to that website and tell them how WRONG they had been

I'm watching some new ones now, so I'll hold off for a bit.

I think the one on the left looks feminine. I think the little round heads tend to be females. Very scientific, right?!!

Lol, if you are watching some little Brahmas, too, let's compare notes. Yup, the cute sketches just may be cute and wrong.

Second photo is the bcm / brahma....it had a unaborbed yolk. I held it in my gloved hands for6-7 hours praying it would make it. Now I'm praying it is a pullet.
The first photo is my bcm/ dark Cornish. She / he stomps their feet like mama did ( killed by a hawk ). Hoping for a pullet.

Last photo is of Brock, glad this one is a cockerel. But only has 1/2 of a single comb. Sorry bad photo.

Any ideas on what these two on the right might be? They're both easter egger mixes. The one on the right is from two easter Egger and the one in the middle is easter Egger and most likely brown leghorn. Just trying to determine what sex they are. They are almost 12 weeks old. The one on the left is my red junglefowl and I know she's a female.

All girls.

I know it's still really early to ask about gender, since my chicks are only 3 weeks old. However, I'm giving six of the fourteen to a coworker and he doesn't want any roos. I only ordered 1 roo anyway, but two other chicks have really red wattles and I'm worried there was a mis-sex at the hatchery. Is it normal for pullets to have such pink wattles so early? Is it still too early to tell?

It's hard to get a picture of this guy because it is Not a Fan of me or the treats I bring. It only seems to enjoy pecking at my ankles and fingers lol
