Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

I have 4 chicks that are 6 weeks old and I would like to get an opinion on whether or not I have a hen or a roo please

1. Rose - 6 week old Leghorn chick

We are sure Rose is a roo based on how big and red her cone and wattles are

2. Clover - 6 week old Leghorn chick

Initially we thought Clover was a roo because as a chick she/he was much larger than the rest. Now though the size is pretty even across the group and Clover has a small cone

3. Bluebell - 6 week old Leghorn chick

Timid and disinterested in chicken drama

4. Lily - 6 week old Araucana chick

Bossy and often attempting to be the alpha (couldn't get a close shot 'cos Lily wasn't interested in being held)

If I do have a rooster how soon until it starts crowing? Is it better for his socialisation with other flocks to sparate a rooster now, or leave the flock together until the crows begin?

Thank you so much for having a look at my pictures :)
You don't have any Leghorns and you don't have an Araucana either. You have a bunch of mixed breeds. First looks like a second-generation red sexlink, definitely a cockerel. #2 and #3 are pullets. The last one looks like it might be an Easter Egger/Wyandotte mix, might be a cockerel but still a bit young to be sure. Roosters raised together do tend to get along, or at least coexist.

5-51/2 weeks old. Acting very much like a cockerel. Chasing everyone around chest bumping etc. light brahma are not easy to sex from what I understand but here are some updates pictures. Thanks!

She is just a pet but will some of that black go away after her molt or is this an excessive amount of black. Hoping for a pullet but she is always there when there is a scuffle. Thanks

Could just be a pushy pullet. At this point it's all pecking order related, not an indicator of gender. Still much too young to guess gender with any degree of certainty. As for the coloring, might molt out lighter, might be a Light Brahma/Dark Brahma cross.

It's got a comb, it's just a cushion/walnut/strawberry comb, not a single comb. If male, it will develop male specific feathering sometime between 10 to 16 weeks.

The lack of a comb is actually a breed trait for the Breda. I have a juvenile rooster, and while he has red where the comb would be, there really isn't a comb. It gives him a very slick head appearance and I don't worry about frostbite.

I'm looking for help identifying breed and gender of the all black bird laying down in front. I know it is a bantam about 8 weeks old and it's the fastest little chicken I have ever seen.....lol!

Sometimes it's tail feathers are bent up at about a 90° angle.

Black Wyandotte, pullet. Not drastically smaller than the Buff Orpington or Barred Rock, so probably not bantam.

So i had bought 11 EE chicks and im thinking three of them are roos, opinions?

#1 (The crust is abit small but its slanted up more)

#2 This one is screaming roo to me but just to be sure ^-^
