So...I'm pretty sure it's too early to be asking...but what the heck! These two light Brahma's are 5 weeks old today. I'd bet some money on this one being a cockerel...what do you think?

Males have black chests, females salmon. Yours is looking pretty dark across the chest already so I'm thinking cockerel.

This is a 5+ week old EE...what do you guys think? Pretty red comb but it's much smaller than the ones on a couple other EEs I have from this hatch.View attachment 1040045 View attachment 1040048

Besides the pink comb, this boy also has the solid patches of brick red feathers= a common trait in young EE males.

The light splash still looks like a pullet.
The black one has wattles already, so I'd guess male.
