Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Hatched May 3rd (I was thinking 7 weeks, but actually 6 weeks).
white crested blue Polish.
Someone said it has the crest of a pullet but I think those are saddle feathers on it's back? Thanks.

He'll have a spectacular crest! Most of the males have a sparser poof but having a full, rounded one as a juvenile isn't a guarantee of pullet. Getting male saddle feathers IS a guarantee of cockerel, though.

Right around 5 weeks now. Can you tell yet, boys or girls..........please say girls! We're already super attached!

If they show up in order I believe they are australorp, Bared plymoth rock, buckeye cuckoo, australorp, cuckoo, white plymoth rock and the last 2 are RIR.
Any help appreciated!

It's better to take a standing profile shot and a zoom in on the comb. Holding them might make taking photos easier but it makes evaluation harder.
A1 cockerel
A2 pullet
A3 cockerel
DC pullet
H pullet
M cockerel
Thank you so much for the help and I'll keep that in mind for next time I take photos for this type of thing. Shame that two of the Araucanas and the mix were cockerels, but I am aware that's a risk when owning chickens. (I kinda did suspect the mix and A3 to be cockerels, but I am surprised about A1. I guess I was just being overly optimistic about that one

Not 100% but the yellower neck and splotchy look is very suspicious.

Mine also seems to have gotten lost in the posts. Also I would like to add that someone already told me they seemed like pullets from the rounded feathers, but another person came along and said pointed feathers don't come in until at least 10 weeks, which is what I also read.
Also my Asian Black, 8 weeks, noticeably bigger than the other, though he is the only we have of his breed, which are supposed to grow to five pounds for roosters - about the size of our other barred rock rooster.

Hello! I decided to start another thread on helping all you back yard chicken farmers determine the sex of your chicken.
I know it can sometimes be super tricky to identify gender in chicks, so that's why we made this thread! No need to start your own thread, just hop on here and share a picture of your chick, making sure it's at least 4 weeks old before asking gender. Me and @Jetblack2004 are almost 100% on genders for chicks 4 weeks+.
So feel free to ask lots of questions regarding gender. We do NOT identify breeds, only gender. However, if anyone out there is good at identifying breeds, please let us know, we would love to have your help!

Thanks!

I realize this is an older post but added pics at the end. Thanks for helping!

Leghorn is definite pullet (males have entirely different coloring) and Asian black looks more like a black sexlink pullet.Too early to be sure on the buffs but they aren't obviously male either.

Thank you! Also on the asian black, as a chick it had a brown head, and I think sex links are entirely black as female baby chicks. So I'm not sure on that part, but keeping my fingers crossed for pullet either way!

Well, you have one cuckoo that looks male (the first) and two that look female. The rest, you'll need to wait a while, yet.

BTW, next time you take pictures, a side profile is best with no hands in the way.
