Sorry! Also 18 weeks todayAge?
This one (foreground) is also through the 1/4" cloth so maybe to hard, but it's a crested cream legbar over production red and I'm not sure cockerel or pullet. Comb is dark and obvious, but body shape and feathers say pullet to my rookie eye.View attachment 1123618
The contrast leaves much to be desired but pretty sure I see rooster red peeking through the shadows. This is a hen yes? View attachment 1123682
18 weeks IS close to laying, though. Shoot, some production birds are two weeks in by then.![]()
If it's the same age as the one in back, I'd guess boy. Females' combs tend to stay small/pale until they get close to laying.
Well, it doesn't look like a 12 month old rooster in these pics. It actually looks like an older hen. Do you have pictures from when you got it?It doesn't crow or act like a rooster but looks suspect and i haven't seen it lay an egg as i got it during winter and not all have resumed laying. It is 12 months old. I will try to find another picView attachment 1123832View attachment 1123833 View attachment 1123834
Cockerel.Thank you both for trying to help
A) I'm horrible at pics
