Unfortunately, I really don't know much about sexing wyandottes, so it's out of my league. But I wanted to comment that it's a very cool-looking mix!Trying to find out about my Wyandotte Splash/black Ameracauna mix here. Approx 18-21weeks old.
If both are 5 months, then I's say both are female. A male BR would have a much larger comb. Your EE has a very unique & beautiful color pattern. They are so much fun to have around.I had a beautiful pair of 5mo barred rocks, never really took the time to say which was which.
Unfortunately today I found out that one was missing and I wasn't able to find it :-(
I've put the remaining one in a cage with a female araucana I have, could anyone please determine it's sex?

My guess is boy.Easter egged. About 5 weeks. Boy vs girl thought?
Did it have a tail that's molting now? How sure are you on the age? I'm not seeing cockerel feathers but the absent tail makes me suspect it's younger than you think. That usually happens around 10-14 weeks and then they have their big chicken tail in by 18-21.Trying to find out about my Wyandotte Splash/black Ameracauna mix here. Approx 18-21weeks old.

Good question. I don't think so. I'm afraid it may have arancana not Ameracauna. The feathers underneath are fluffy like that breed and no tail feathers seem absent from pecking.Did it have a tail that's molting now? How sure are you on the age? That third picture is, beyond any question, showing cockerel traits. Your earlier pics didn't capture the rooster red but it's very evident there. Here are some other images. It looks like there are no hackle feathers, but cushion feathers appear to be present.
